After so much struggle & whatever (excuse me for the words for not flowing), I have been given entry into the OZZYLAND!!!
That particular day while writing this post I just couldn't move along since, first the words weren't flowing & secondly I was running short of time. There were lots of things which apparently I wanted to write but I simply couldn't. It apparently ended up like the way Magnus got his visa but this was I dunno maybe the worst ever I thought. There are few steps involved in applying to any Ozzy Uni. In each & every step I endured problems which lead to me think whether ever am I going to sustain the whole process & land in the land of ponting & hayden.
First Step was to determine if I wanted to get myself a life outside cricket which itself was a painstaking decision. After about eight years in the game, I didn't know what the hell to do. So when I finally arrived at a decision that yes I am going to make that decision the problem of the university started. For me if I were to a masters outside
Now UTS had a GMAT cut-off for its MBA students who have scored below a certain mark, I was standing on the wall in between that limit. I was just a 0.5% short, which itself proved that I had to attend the interview season to get an assurance of my offer. The agent which I choose first didn't have UTS for their EDU fair so I had to go to IDP's fair to attend the interview. The lady who interviewed me was one Ms. Tracy Taylor Dean of the B-School which is called Graduate School of Business (GSB). When she looked at my marks & faced me all she said was "I am afraid that you may have to give GMAT". That sounded like hell to me not because of the reason of the exams, because of the reason that I will have to wait for another two years doing that. (okey i m not arguing that gmat is a waste). Then came the most important time when I took out the other file which I had carried to the interview. Fifteen minutes after talking about what’s there in that file I was holding an conditional-offer (degree certificate) in my hand. When I sat in my car my dad was curious enough to ask me what happened in the interview & how did I get an offer due to the GMAT factor, all I said was "Unmaiya pesineen" (like rajini in batsha).
After producing the degree certificate which itself was in the way between me & the full-offer letter, the wait begun. UTS took their own time & after two weeks told this student doesn't appear in our rolls. I was like "what the f%$#". Then that got resolved in its own way after a weeks time. All this was happening & I was slogging my ass off at Accenture. So every days wait was a day gone by kinds. When I finally received the full-offer letter I was sure that the trouble is not ended but has begun.
Visa file, the nightmare in this whole process. My dad is a responsible guy. Let me tell you that much. He's not one bit like me. Handles anything & everything with almost precaution & care. Such a guy lost the file which contained his IT returns, employment docs, etc. Can you believe it? Just over a month to go for the visa file & our man (my poppy) lost these important documents. I said to myself "Bharath find a way out". So for two days I was running from one Income Tax department building to another making a million phone calls. Then when I went to Tiruppur (where he works) my mum found the file. She searched for something else ( I think molagai podi) & got this which always happens when you search for something else. So thankfully even the EDU loan was set rite & with lot of help from my CA I lodged my visa.
Two weeks back the students who had filed their visas along with me received theirs. So that was the beginning of yet another headache. After some more struggle, faxing, photocopying, attending funerals, attending bday parties, training, running around I actually managed some time for a book. Sydney Shelton The stars shine down, when my mobile rang. I picked it up & answered. The cal was from idp & my counselor at the other end asked me if I had come in the morning. I did visit them in the morning to check the status of the visa, more importantly wanted to know if the problem was solved. Then the words came out of her mouth "Bharath u got
"I GOT MY VISA" .............

Have you ever had a bad boss? Unless you’ve been exceptionally lucky in your career, chances are you’ve suffered under a bad boss. Chetan Dhruve has written a paper that explains why all bosses are dictators by definition. He adds that because bosses are dictators, your health suffers, and the organization suffers too – both the Challenger and Columbia space shuttles occurred because subordinate engineers were too scared to confront their bosses. Chetan says that rather blaming bosses, it’s the dictatorship system at the office that is at fault.
Chetan Dhruve has worked for companies such as IBM and Cisco Systems. He has an MBA from Cass Business School in London.

Update: I have become a masthead of teakada.com
"Teakada, in Tamil Nadu, is a hotspot for the common man. A place where people get together for a hot cup of tea/coffee and catch-up the latest on Politics, Movies, Local News, affairs of the State and beyond. Be it 5 AM or 11 PM you could always find folks hanging around these teakada(is).
The teakada typically had/have wooden benches laid out in the streets where a range of newspapers and magazine lay around, inviting patrons to while away their time, while they sip away the brew (mostly 'single china' tea).
Teakada.com is an attempt to recreate such a meeting point, online. Blogs here are primarily about Madras, Tamil Nadu, Tamil Movies, Tamil Politics and India."

As I sit and stare at the virus hit computer of mine, which is denying me an access into the outside world, thoughts flow in & out. I always think crap at midnight & no wonder this is happening tonight. What do I write about? Was the first question to flash, then the confused state of mind as usual turned on to cricket thinking unusually how I could relate to a general life scene? Though I can’t question the wisdom inside me, even though I am nowhere near it, I am getting to feel that what a strange relation the game is to the general life itself. The funda I am going to tell you now is kind off similar to any walks of life. This is the first time I am writing in teakada.
Again as I have a theory for all, even for this I have a theory which I unusually co-related between what I learned at my workplace to cricket (different forms of life a.k.a (thanks lazy!) careers). Probably most of you are aware of this but for those of whom who are hearing it for the first time, here it goes.
For every activity of life there are four different stages, from which we move on from time to time. And it’s obvious that we all want to be in the final stage where we would be at our best. To give an example of an activity I take driving a car or also playing cricket. The first stage in my words (all my words!) is the Unconscious- In competency stage. A stage of life everyone undergoes. In fact its most certain that when we are taking the car example everyone will go through these stages of learning. Even in cricket, you aren’t sure whether you could bat or bowl or field yet the taste of the game drives you to make that decision. You are Unconscious about your Incompetence.
Then the second stage- Conscious Incompetency. Now you are a little better, in terms of making a decision to do that activity. You have made up your mind & are giving in your efforts in trying that activity which is when you are conscious about your Incompetence. So that doesn’t make you stop doing that. You know that you are not a Michael Schumacher, but that doesn’t stop you learning the activity. “All legends were once amateurs”. The desire to learn pushes you ahead. Now you are better, you have distinguished your strengths & weakness in the game and can say I am a batsman or a bowler; this is where I am lacking.
The danger stage Conscious Competency. This is the third stage of the process and the most dangerous one too. You have learned the art or the game. Now you are conscious about your competency in terms of going ahead & doing things, sometimes in the right way & most times in the wrong way. You are a touch little over confident that you can take things for granted & end up doing the wrong thing at the right time, probably during a right turn or something and invite trouble. The situation most of us land up on! (me-all the time!). Or for instance in playing the game of cricket the situation in which sometimes the rush of blood happens & you tend to through away your wicket playing a stupid shot. This may also happen when you have learned the game through, but what I am saying is the chances of this happening when you are in the next stage is comparatively lesser compared to this stage.
The last stage is the super duper Unconscious Competency stage. This kick ass stage wherein you actually are the master of the art and don’t think the same way. You know you are good and do the right things unconsciously. For example like the way I drive (hehehe)! You end up being the perfect driver and do things unconsciously all though you are conscious about what you are doing. Things become perfect when done in the moment of unconsciousness though you are very much conscious about it. Let the blink take over!
Don’t you think this can be related to any walks of life, think about it!

Yday I went for the one hour weekend run @ Lalbagh after so many days. Ever since I had started working there was no time allotted to fitness. Anyways if I don't train for a week I put on weight, so imagine some three months without sweat. I was enjoying my life eating Bhel puris at my workplace in an air conditioned cabin all these months, not totally bothered about the calorie intakes & the output being my weight showing up a little more every single time I step on the weighing scale.
