The day before the journey is always a profound experience. You are running around to see if everything is in order. IF you are a guy like me then you would probably have things packed a day before leaving the small things to be packed the day before. Moreover since the flight is an early morning one, you better be in bed before it gets too late else you are always scared you wouldn’t get up. At times being organized is a real pleasure but on the other hand, you will never be able to experience the last minute mishaps.

You have finished all the pending work that you can think about – Informed the Bank, got the mobile phone guys sorted out, leave in a particular day when your rent for everything ends in time, meet with friends, get their lists in order, write down all the gifts that is going through you to which friend’s family – at times you may get mixed up with the gifts, change rooms if you have to contend that, plan your trip to the airport, buy gifts – now this is where half the profound experience I wrote about before is experienced, sort gifts in order of whom to gift – you shouldn’t forget the second cousin’s third daughter-in-law’s son by mistake.

After you have done all these, then you may finally believe “Yes, I can make it through to the flight”. But your fear of carrying excess baggage always strikes bell toms for Christ sake and you repack everything just to make sure it’s right. You also try to weigh them with bare hands since you are an experienced weight lifted to find out the abnormities in the weights that have been approved for the baggage.

When you are trying to all these you get call saying that you have been offered a Graduate position starting after your MBA, with the icing on the cake being that you are also being offered to work with them Part-time till then to get you geared for the work. Now you are more confused than excited since you don’t know which one to choose, the current job which has been influential in getting the final job and continue with that till you graduate or the new part-time job at the same place where you are going to work full-time post MBA.

But despite all these you are excited, astounded, joyous beyond spoken words, elated about your Indian trip.

Its less than 10hrs left to depart and I have no words to express about how I feel.
